Paul has trained Instructors in applying select internal martial arts principles towards global-class organizational safety as a MoveSMART® Master-Trainer and Consultant since 1990. Paul has worked extensively throughout the U.S. as well as in countries such as Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Denmark, Dubai, England, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, Singapore, Spain and Venezuela. His clients have included Amerada Hess, Amtrak, American Airlines, ArcelorMittal, BMW, Boeing, BP, Cummins, Domtar, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Nissan, Michelin, MSC Industrial Supply, Rio Tinto, Textron, United Airlines, URS, US Steel, WestRock, and many more. He is a former U.S. Army Paratrooper, a Senior Defensive Tactics Instructor for the Oregon Police Academy, and an Instructor of Wing Chun Gung Fu.
Craig received his J.D. degree from Harvard Law School and practiced law for ten years before joining SSA. He handles our contractual and intellectual property issues in addition to being a highly experienced MoveSMART® Master Trainer. Craig is also a lifelong martial arts practitioner.
Charlie has a B.A. in Communications along with a 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and training in Wing Chun Kung Fu. His clients include Detroit Edison and Earthgrains and he has worked with Kodak, BP Amoco, American Airlines, United Airlines, Anheuser-Busch, Bell Helicopter Textron, Burlington Northern Santa Fe, Exxon and many other companies worldwide. Charlie is a Member of ASSE.
John is a Physician’s Assistant who worked in emergency medicine for three years before joining SSA. Previously he worked as a family practice provider for Indian Health Services, a branch of the United States Department of Health & Human Services. He also has experience in sleep health. In addition to being a MoveSMART® Master-Trainer, John spearheads our Reducing Injury Repetition system interventions.
Rob has a degree in Business Administration and has worked as a Radio Announcer, Personnel Specialist for Boeing, Human Resource Manager for a local bank, and had his own company, Russell Consulting. He is a Past President of the Portland Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) and is a Member of ASSE.
Ryland is a Portland native, husband, father of two sons, and a United States Army veteran. He is passionate about travel and staying active. Some of his favorite ways to move are Parkour (which he instructs), calisthenics, slacklining, hiking and trail running. Ryland also has a background in martial arts and is conversant in Spanish.
